CalgaryBDS is a blog created and maintained by individuals who believe in raising a concious voice against injustice,oppression, apartheid and violation of human rights in Palestine. We hope to raise awareness about the Palestinian plight and educate citizens how to take action against injustice all year round and not just when it’s in the news. Action begins at home and in our communities and that’s exactly what we hope to do.

“The global movement for a campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel until it complies with international law and Palestinian rights was initiated by Palestinian civil society in 2005, and is coordinated by the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), established in 2007. BDS is a strategy that allows people of conscience to play an effective role in the Palestinian struggle for justice.” [1]
